# Asset upload
# Customer logo
# Shop upload
The probably earliest point of logo upload is located at the web shop. All shop communication processes triggered by the user allow for the upload of arbitrary files.
These files are gathered by the request_watchdog service (part of
CRM aka "SALLY"). After storing such logo files and indexing them in
a database the corresponding shop transaction is presented to the
sales team as a new lead.
# Manual creation
Graphics department users and hired external users create a production-capable logo version of whatever the customer has provided. This is always a manual process.
# Pre-production proof
German: Standbild
Such images are either a result of:
- manual creation by graphics department users
- manual creation by hired external users
- automatic creation by
digital agency
# GVV asset upload
The process management tool GVV and its external fork GVV external
provide an upload tool to import customer logos or pre-production proofs.
The according upload tools are UpDocky respectively UpDocky external.
# External asset upload
External upload via UpDocky external are subject to restrictions in
comparison to internal uploads, e.g. mandatory virus scans.
Currently the virus scan process is as such:
- External user uploads the created files to virustotal.com (opens new window) and waits until scanning is finished.
- External user uses
UpDocky externalto upload the files. - The upload process checks the sha256 checksum of all to-be-uploaded files using the virustotal.com (opens new window) API.
- External user receives a feedback per file:
- Successfully uploaded.
- File already exists.
- Not yet scanned by virustotal.com (opens new window).
- Malicous code found by virustotal.com (opens new window).
- Any other error.
# Layout draft
Provided by suppliers, these images are usually imported via an half-automatic process located at the Sortiment team.
Layout drafts are visible within the GVV and GVV external tools,
but they cannot be uploaded or modified there.
